Today I had a wonderful surprise visit from Billy Mitchell, the world's most famous video game world recorder holder!
While traveling through New Jersey with his wife and son, Billy reached out and met Carolyn and I at Billy's Midway Arcade, a fantastic 1980's style arcade located in Hawthorne, New Jersey. We had a great time chatting about my career and Billy's world records, then got down to business playing many of the 80+ arcade games. Of course, Billy went right to Pac Man and then to Donkey Kong to add his name at the top of the arcade's video high score board.
Overall it was a wonderful visit and I want to thank Billy Smith of Billy's Midway Arcade for hosting our afternoon of gaming!
It was pretty cool when I met Billy Mitchell one time...Dan, I was wondering if you might want to get interviewed by the Atari 2600 game by game podcast. The host Ferg, lives in New Jersey and might be close enough to you or you could just Skype. It would be a great interview on the podcast!
Man, now I really wish I had visited Billy's Midway today...it's a great place and it sounds like it attracts great guests. :)
